We are a Brisbane Junior AFL club based at Hilder Road State School, 104 Kaloma Rd, The Gap. (open in maps)
We offer:
Auskick – an introductory program of fun, games-based learning for ages 5-12. We hold our 8 week Auskick program on Saturday mornings 8am to 9am from February 22, and players can transition straight into Auskick Play footy.
The cost is only $90 and each player receives a great pack of footy goodies from AFL QLD including their very own kid-sized footy!
Fair Play vouchers are valid for any of our registrations.
Auskick Play footy – a first competition format for those aged 5-7 at the start of the calendar year that is ideal for kids who want to keep playing after the Auskick introduction.
The 10-week season starts on April 26.
Junior Footy – the next step for kids who are ready to move on from NAB AFL Auskick or other introductory programs. With mixed and girls only age-level teams from U8 to U13, the AFL playing rules and team numbers are modified so children can continue to develop their skills in an enjoyable and safe atmosphere. Junior Footy is the perfect environment for kids to have fun learning through play, make new friends and create memories that last a lifetime.
The season runs from April 26 through to the end of August. Games are generally on Saturday mornings with some Friday night games depending on team and age level. There are no games or training during school holidays.
Registration is for both new and returning players of The Gap Dragons JAFC. Returning players should use the same email address as last season, which helps ensure your stats like games played etc. are carried over from previous seasons.
Registration fees range from $185 to $255 depending on your age group.
